I’m grateful to indefatigable guest bloggers Darren Miller of Right on the Left Coast and Diana Senechal, author of Republic of Noise, for doing all the work while I was on vacation.
We’d planned to visit sites of fictional and historical mayhem in England: an Inspector Morse/Lewis tour in Oxford (crowded), a self-guided Brother Cadfael tour in Shrewsbury (beautiful little town) and a trip to the Viking museum in York (reserve online). We also visited the British Museum in London, paid tribute to the Beatles in Liverpool, saw Robert Arkwright’s first cotton mill at Cromford and nibbled our way through York’s Chocolate Story. On the last day, it didn’t rain at all and we saw blue sky.
