I'm back from vacation, though still struggling with crossing the international dateline: I had two Fridays, which makes today . . . Saturday, right?

I'm celebrating the 25th anniversary of this blog, which I started in mid-January (I didn't bother to note the date) of 2021. Ten days (or more? less?) in New Zealand -- lots of trees, ferns, rivers, bays, islands and views, no laptop -- hasn't settled the question of whether I should move to Substack, so I'll get back to blogging for awhile. When the fog lifts.
