My grandmother was asking why I was so tired after a baby. In her day (1950s and 60s) they got these special vitamins called 'pep pills' to keep them going when the baby kept them up. They were great! They helped you lose weight too. My aunt and I sort of stared open mouthed as she went on and on. "Were they little and yellow?" "Oh yes. They were how we had energy to watch the kids and clean the house, and then we'd have a few drinks to get to sleep at night."
