States debate $0 community college tuition

Worried about a shortage of skilled workers, Tennessee, Oregon and Mississippi are debating free community college tuition. But some say students will work harder if they have a little “skin in the game.”

    I wouldn’t make it free, but I would support loan forgiveness to any student who maintained a decent GPA and completed a degree, certificate, or successfully transferred to a 4 year school.

    Nothing’s free.

    They’re just debating not having students pay it now, directly.

    A distributed or delayed cost isn’t “free”.
