Thinking and Linking by Joanne Jacobs
Proud moment from the parents of an 8-year-old…
Score one for common sense and intestinal fortitude. If bleeding, wash and apply band-aid (self, not staff). I remember the days when active kids usually had a couple of band-aids in their backpack – no fuss needed.
Kid needs counseling and child abductive services need to be brought in. This archaic approach is no help in generating a subservient subject of the State.
You’re kidding, right?
Medical equipment should only be handled by a licensed school nurse.
Students carrying unauthorized medical equipment such as band-aids or sterilization wipes will be suspended.
Here in California I can lose my job for giving a kid an aspirin, but the nurse can give them an armful of condoms, and refer them to clinics where they can get abortions without their parents’ knowledge.
