The plethora of higher paying jobs in healthcare is a temporary phenomenon. As boomers die and as spending is reduced – either via Obamacare’s cost controls (ROFLMAO) or because we reprioritize due to economic failures, we will be reducing total expenditures on healthcare – we have to. Now, this cost cutting may happen at the high end rather than the low, and for the next 10-15 years these jobs may still be the best bang for the educational dollar.
I believe you can enlist to become an air traffic controller, back in the early 80s no college was required.
