With no degree, recession hits hard

The job market’s tough for new college graduates — and even tougher for would-be workers with only a high school diploma.

About Joanne

  1. One would need to allow for the burden of student debt. A debt-free high school graduate might be in better shape than a new college graduate carrying $50,000 of non-dischargeable debt.

  2. Good point of view, the young lady working for cincinnati.com (and another job) who has almost 190 thousand in student loan debt is far worse off than a recent high school graduate with no loan debt to worry about.

The student loan debt crisis is only going to get worse as more students wind up piling up debt while the economy remains lackluster or is in decline.
