No pressure

The U.S. Department of Education is not pressuring states to adopt Common Core, claims Education Secretary Arne Duncan, who goes on to denounce a South Carolina proposal to block implementation. Yesterday, a state Senate subcommittee sent the bill to the full committee with an unfavorable recommendation.

When is the general public going to admit to itself that the Obama administration is having his Cabinet organizations mandate regulations and requirements for federal money that haven’t been approved by Congress? This is one of many instances, in many Departments, where the will of Congress is being blantatly ignored…
