The new Carnival of Homeschooling, hosted by Sprittibee, reports on the Relevant conference, which drew more than 70 homeschooling moms.
Daze of Adventure combined the conference with a tour of Hershey’s chocolate factory. For $14.95, you can design a personalized candy bar at Hershey Chocolate World, watch it made on the line and design the box.
One of my peak lifetime experiences was touring my grandfather’s candy factory in Chicago. (I’ve always claimed to be the only non-neurotic Jewish graduate of Highland Park High. How miserable can you be if your grandfather owns a candy factory?) Second place: Touring the Sara Lee factory with Sara’s granddaughter, who was in my fourth-grade class.
Submit here by Sunday, Dec. 11 to be included in the next Education Buzz Carnival.
