Truthfully I like this…I like it a lot…the thought of no incoming freshman needing remedial classes next fall is awesome…the question I have it the timing. tennessee just raised its standards to evenually reduce/eliminate the need for remedial education, but that won’t be for a long time…so…the only option for the 70% of tennessee kids that need remedial education is the community college…we all know their record of graduating or not kids…so…how do we get the kids on the right track for them to be successful starting in high school and then post secondary…will small learning academies actually work for the majority of MNPS (Nashville) students?
