I want to thank Michael for guest-blogging for me so ably.

I’m on my way back from vacation. However, we’re stopping in Chicago for a few days. My father-in-law, Ralph F. Wakerly, died today at the age of 89.  He had a lifelong habit of refusing to die when expected — he survived a plane crash in World War II — so it’s a bit of a shock that the doctors finally got it right.

Anyhow, I’ve got a few blog posts up my sleeve, so I’ll keep things going till I actually get home.
