		<description>At least 3 of my schools 9 first year teachers were 21 at the start of the year. The one who didn&#039;t turn 22 until last week is definitely the one who appears to have the best content knowledge and classroom management skills (she is a science teacher with standard level classes).</description>

		<description>I agree with Crimson Wife. I don&#039;t know if there&#039;s much difference in maturity level from 21 to 23.  But I&#039;m looking at it from 43!  To me, they&#039;re pretty much the same.  I&#039;ve met non-traditional students in their 30s, 40s, and even 50s who are going into education who I would *never* want my children in a classroom with. Age is no definitive indicator of ability or maturity.</description>
