Carnival and me

The Carnival of Education over at The Ed Wonks links to my reading tomorrow (Thursday) at 5:30 pm at High Tech High, 2861 Womble Rd., San Diego. I’ll read and sign copies of Our School and the charter school’s biotech students will showcase their award-winning field guide, Perspectives on San Diego Bay.

On Saturday, April 22 at 2 pm, I’ll be at Borders Books, South Coast Plaza, Costa Mesa.

Thanks also to A History Teacher for blogging about my book events.

I woke up this morning worried that my postnasal drip had inflamed my vocal cords and wondering about my future audibility. Then I found out that my father’s back in the hospital. He’s coped with so many medical crises, but . . .

John and I are planning to get married in July at my parents’ house in Orange County so my father, who’s been in very poor health for the last year, will be able to attend. We’re scheduled to meet with the caterer on Friday and the wedding officiant on Saturday.

Anyhow, I’m flying down there tomorrow morning and going ahead with the schedule. I hope.
