Ho ho no no

Third graders at a Texas elementary school are supposed to sing “Leroy the Redneck Reindeer” at the annual holiday pageant, but a mom has protested. She doesn’t think it’s insulting to rednecks, which would be my first guess. She thinks it’s racist. And she’s persuaded her mixed-race son that the song’s inclusion means “they just don’t like blacks.”

  1. Mike in Texas says:

Why can’t they just sing “Rudolph”?

  2. And what are they doing calling it a “Christmas” pagent anyway, that’s not ok anymore either. All future “Holiday” music should be hummed only. To avoid any further risk of offence, all speach of any kind should be banned as well around the holidays. We can all just nod and smile at each other.

  3. Can’t we just object to it as frickin’ STUPID?

And insulting in general to people in general because of that stupidity?

  4. Steve LaBonne says:

But by that standard we’d have to ban 99% of popular culture. Not that I’d have a problem with that. šŸ˜‰
