  1. Bill Beeman says:

This is not quite such good news as it first seems. McCrackin is out as principal (Good!), but is apparently still on the public payroll (Not Good!).

I have a hard time envisioning any suitable position in education for anyone with his level of judgement.

Bill, we can put him in charge of telling other principals how to handle drug searches. Of course, that assumes he learned something from the episode…

  3. Richard Brandshaft says:

But of course, the none of the cops get fired. It’s interesting that conservatives whine about teacher’s tenure, but don’t have a word to say about cops, who do far worse.

  4. D. Cooper says:

Ok Rich .. here goes, I’m a conservative (teacher) and I’ve never whinned about tenure !!! And those cops were a little out of line … make that a lot out of line. You’d think they were on some kind of commando raid in the jungles of Colombia.

And Bill, plenty of jobs for McCrackin .. bangin’ erasers comes to mind right away … teachers’ parking lot (valet parking of course) … there must be more ..

  5. He’s going to be the next Superintendent….
    “screw up and move up”…

  6. He’ll end up in the central office coordinating professional development.
